Britax Frontier 85 Child Car Seat Review
Well, I’ve recently had the chance of checking out the Britax Frontier 85
and can only say that I have been bowled over by it.It’s fair to say
that the Britax is not a cheap seat. However, to put this into context,
you need to remind yourself exactly who will be in the seat when your
car is moving ! You can’t put a price on your child’s safety.
Anyway, the Britax Frontier 85 is a lovely child car seat, with some great features. Like a lot of things in life, it is some of the more simple elements that I find most impressive. The fact that it has two cup holders, one on either arm rest, as well as the fact that it actually has two proper arm rests.
The Britax Frontier 85 also has a range of colors. My particular favourite is Cowmooflage, although my husband prefers Red Rock because it looks more like a racing seat.
A friend of mine has actually bought one of these from Amazon
herself. After doing some research, (as well as talking to me of
course,)she found Amazon to be the place where she got the best price.
She also says she likes the Amazon returns policy, so she knows that if
she has any problems with the seat, she will have no problem returning
it. That said, this seat is so well made, I would be very surprised if
there is ever a fault found.
The seat is relatively easy to install. Like a lot of these child car seats, one person’s easy is another person’s nightmare, but I had a go removing and re-installing this one and found it one of the easier seats to handle.
A great aspect of the seat is the ability it has to grow with your child. Adjusting the height of the seat can be done one handed after a little practice, and it’s even possible to do this while your child is in the seat.
It’s a very comfortable seat that offers great padding that is strong, but soft enough for the little ones to find it very comfortable.The Britax Frontier, as well as having some neat safety features, is relatively easy to clean as well.
The 5 point harness, I found pretty easy to handle. My friend did say she personally had a problem getting to grips with it, but once she had it a few days she actually found it to be very good.
As I’ve said before, although not the cheapest child car seat you will find, the Britax Frontier 85 is a very good seat and if it’s the seat you are thinking of buying, I would definitely say go for it.
