Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 child Car Seat Review
The Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 child car seat is a
quality seat at a very decent price. The Graco has many features that are
pretty standard across the child car seat market now, but it does have
some interesting extras as well as good safety ratings. It comes with
plenty of padding and seems to quite comfortable. It also has a head
support which is adjustable.
Another possbile negative point is the ability to wash the cover.Although the instructions say that the seat liner can be removed and easily washed, the seat cover can only be used with the lowest harness level setting, because once you get past that point, it is supposed to be removed.Maybe the idea is that children who are that tiny bit older are less likely to make a terrible mess such as being sick, and more likely just to have a seat full of crumbs or something.I’m not sure if that design feature was actually calculated by a parent or not.
Personally, I would say not.Having said that, even though you can’t machine wash it, there are plenty of ways to give it a good clean up when the time comes.Although I would prefer a removable cover, it wouldn’t be a big enough negative for me to not buy the Graco Nautilus 3 in 1.
It also comes with a cup holder.Unlike a few other child car seats, the cup holder on the Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 does seem to be quite well put together, and I wouldn’t be surpised to see it last for quite a while. It’s probably unrealistic to think it will last until you no longer need the seat, but it’s still a useful extra. The Graco 3 in 1also has storage under both armrests. The great thing I like about this idea, is it can give your child a chance to look after their own toys or snacks or sweets, and it might stop them wanting to try and get out of the seat quite so much.
When the time is right and your children have outgrown the seat, it will convert in to a backless booster. Not the only seat that can do this I know, but a nice addition as it means you can certainly expect to get decent value from your purchase.
